Vista Verde provided us an amazing house to make wonderful family memories! The house is beautiful, clean, and well laid out for a large group. The view from the balcony was spectacular! The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking the path with our dog. Wimberley is a quaint town and Vista Verde was the perfect place to stay. My interactions with the owner were very pleasant. She was always prompt in answering my questions prior to our stay. We all highly recommend Vista Verde!

We stayed here over the weekend in January. It was beautiful. Truthfully for the amount of space, the number of beds and the amenities I believe that this is by far the best place to stay in Wimberely. We felt like we were in a mansion. Their kitchen if fully stocked with plates, glasses, cookware, and utensils. We really loved the hot tub and couldn’t get enough of the amazing views. The owners were great to work with. Everything went by without a hitch. I’d recommend this to anyone! Thanks for a great experience!

My husband and I took some out of state family to the hill country for a long Memorial Day weekend. We had found the house online in the spring, we loved the views, it fit our group size, budget and allowed dogs, which was a requirement at the time. Despite the rainy weather, it did not disspoint! We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery! We relaxed on the wonderful deck watching deer, listening to birds and being entertained by a family of gray foxes. The house itself is great for a group, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools to eat in, which we did often. It’s centrally located near Wimberly, so was great for day trips to Fredericksburg, the Texas Wine Trail, New Braunfels & Canyon Lake. We spent our days out exploring the area, but were always anxious to return to enjoy the evenings on the deck! It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation! I would highly recommend this for a mid to large size group and we certainly hope to return one day!

My husband and I dragged our two college aged daughters to Wimberley for a few days over spring break to check out some possibilities for buying retirement property there. We looked over lots of possible rentals for our visit, and even though we didn’t need such a big house we loved the looks and reviews of Vista Verde, so we decided to splurge for a few days. We are so glad we did – the house is fantastic and provided the perfect opportunity for close family time without being on top of each other. We all loved the home, the decor, and the scenery, and one of our daughters even got up at sunrise to take some unbelievably beautiful pictures from the deck. The hot tub was just icing on the cake. The bed in the master bedroom was maybe the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, which was an added plus to our short vacation. The interactions I had with the owner before our stay were all positive and friendly and she was very helpful and accommodating. Wimberley is a great town and our family enjoyed the shops, restaurants, walking around Blue Hole and dinner at Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood. Although our daughters were not thrilled about going beforehand, they had a really nice time and it ended up being a great mini vacation, in large part because of the house. We travel quite a bit and I would say are fairly picky about where we stay, but I have no hesitation recommending this wonderful property.

We’ve rented homes for 40+ years and rely heavily on former renters’ reviews. The excellent reviews of this house lead us here and we were not disappointed. The approach up a narrow, rocky road was no problem for our standard size sedan but very small cars might find it a bit jarring. The walk between parking and entry is a bit rocky also and not easy on rolling bags but owners plan to resurface it soon. When you enter the house, your eyes are drawn past the gorgeous stone fireplace to the wall of windows and the stunning vistas beyond. Our plans to spend time in Wimberley (charming little town) melted away once we stepped onto the deck, saw the deer, all the birds and the family of foxes raising their 3 kits under the deck. Mid-day temps were hot but we always found a cool breeze on the deck in the mornings & evenings. The giant live oak that gives partial shade to the deck is busy with dozens of varieties of birds & a few squirrels and gives you a tree-tops view into their activities. Hummingbirds were constantly buzzing during the day, frogs and cicadas provided the night music. We scarcely used the big screen HD televisions! All furniture, bedding and bath linens are comfy, fine quality & everything worked! The kitchen is generously stocked with condiments, cookware and table ware. We found the house immaculately clean and tastefully furnished (including quality deck furniture – – none of those cheap, molded plastic chairs). Upstairs offers a third bedroom and separate 6-bed sleeping loft, each with its own staircase for privacy. We didn’t use them but they looked great. There is another home on the property but strategic placement on the lot gives total privacy to the deck and living areas. Owners are terrific – – friendly, responsive and available. The property manager is a jewel! She lives nearby and although we never saw her, she phoned to make it clear that she was available 24-hours to answer any question or take care of any concern or need, no matter how small. The house is a quick 5-minute drive to town where you’ll find a supermarket, hardware, great feed store, gas, liquor store and many restaurants and little shops — that is, if you can pull yourself away from this lovely property. Go ahead and book this place now. You won’t be disappointed and as word spreads, it will become less available. We will be back soon!
